THE DOMINION MARKET UPDATE

THE DOMINION HOME SALES

A YEAR IN REVIEW

Compared to 2016's stellar year, 2017 was a bit of a letdown. The Dominion posted a 15% decrease in the number of houses sold totaling only 90 for 2017 compared to last years 105 total sales.

Of those 90 homes sold in 2017, the lowest sold price was $330,000, and the highest was $1,650,000 with the median price range at $600,000. Dominion’s price per square foot ranged from the high at $314.17 to the low of $99.51, with the average price per square foot at $179.71. Lot sales were flat in 2017 compared to 2016 with only one extra lot sold, totaling 26. Amongst those sales the high was $800,000 and the low was $62,000, with the average price per square foot at $9.44.

THE DOMINION IN 2018

Although we witnessed a decline for the neighborhood in 2017, the forecast for 2018 has been predicted to be a great year for real estate across all price ranges. San Antonio and the surrounding areas will see demand for 2018 increase slightly as inventories remain low and interest rates continue to rise. All of this provides a great environment for sellers. Now is the time to be getting your house ready to sell!
